How to Cancel a Service (Phantom Hosting)

Overview

If you no longer need a service with Phantom Hosting, you can cancel it anytime through your Client Area. This guide will walk you through canceling the correct service and submitting the cancellation request properly.


Before You Cancel (Important)

  • Back up your files (server files, worlds, databases, configs, etc.)
  • Save any important information you may need later
  • Important: Once a service is canceled and removed, data may be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Steps to Cancel a Service

Step 1: Log Into Your Account

  1. Log into your Phantom Hosting Client Area: http://phantom-hosting.net/login
  2. Go to Services
  3. Click My Services

Step 2: Click the Active Service You Want to Cancel

  1. Find the service listed as Active
  2. Click the exact service you want to cancel
  3. Once you're inside the service page, on the left-side menu, click: Request Cancellation

Step 3: Submit the Cancellation Request

  1. Click Request Cancellation
  2. Select a cancellation type:
  • End of Billing Cycle (Recommended): Your service stays active until your current paid period ends, then it will cancel and will not renew.
  • Immediate Cancellation: Your service may be canceled sooner, and it could be removed early.

Step 4: Confirm & Submit

  1. (Optional) Enter a reason for canceling
  2. Click Submit Cancellation Request

After submitting, your service will show as Pending Cancellation or Cancelled, depending on the option chosen.


What Happens Next?

  • If you chose End of Billing Cycle, your service stays active until the renewal date.
  • If you chose Immediate, it may shut off and be deleted sooner.
  • Always back up your files first — deleted services may not be recoverable.
